A Disciplinary Hearing will be held in the Boardroom of the College of Denturists of Ontario, 180 Bloor Street West, Suite 903, Toronto, M5S 2V6, commencing on Monday November 21st, 2011 (five (5) days scheduled for oral presentations).

A complaint was filed with the College against Registrant Adrian Haigh, DD. The complaint was referred to the Discipline Committee by the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee on November 12th, 2009. The hearing is open to the public.

A summary of the allegations against Registrant Adrian Haigh, DD is, as follows:

It is alleged that Adrian Haigh, DD:

- fabricated substandard dentures;
- provided unnecessary treatment;
- failed to document the purpose of extended treatments;
- submitted an account or charged for services that the Registrant knew or ought to have known was false or misleading.

The Quality Assurance is looking for some qualified Registrants to help us with the 2011-2012 Assessments. If you would like to submit your name for consideration please send a resume and cover letter to me no later than Tuesday, July 19, 2011.

To become a Assessor you must have the following:
• Registered with the College for a Minimum of 5 years
• Have already undergone an Quality Assurance Assessment
• Current Active Member in good standing
• No disciplinary actions
• Able to represent the College and the Profession in a professional manner

If selected you will have to undergo a mandatory full day training session.

There is an application form attached on the last page of the document which can be filled out on the computer and printed to be signed .  Please submit this form if you are interested in becoming a non-Council member to the College no later than June 14, 2011.

In pursuant to section 5 of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, the Ministry of Health will be requiring an operational review and audit of the activities of the Council and College by an independent review/audit team as selected by the ministry.
