The Examination Committee administers the qualifying examination which is held once per year. The examination is made up of two components - a written examination and a practical (clinical) examination.
Eligible candidates must successfully complete the written examination before they will be permitted to attempt the practical examination.
Candidates must successfully complete both the written examination and the practical examination in order to qualify for a certificate of registration.
The College of Denturists of Ontario Summer 2011 Qualifying Examinations have been completed. Results were mailed on Thursday, July 7th, 2011.
For Candidates that have successfully completed the Qualifying Examinations and would like to set up an appointment to Register please contact Laura Ellis at lellis@denturists-cdo.com.
A candidate who would like to review their practical exam results must do so within 10 business days of the mailing of the examination results. A request for review must be done in writing by email or mail and must enclose a fee of $250 + $32.50(HST) = $282.50 in the form of a certified cheque or money order. The College will set up a date for the candidate to review. The College will discuss the exam with the candidate, review any materials she/he considers appropriate for a period of no more than 30 minutes. Should the College determine that there was an error on the part of the College she/he shall take what action she/he deems necessary to correct the error and notify the candidate of what if any actions will be taken. However, unless there is an addition error in the calculation of the examination marks, the College cannot deem that the candidate has passed the examination. Under no circumstance will any copies of the examination marking booklet be released to the candidate.
